Transparency

Nothing to hide. Everything to prove.

A transparency page that only shows numbers is easy. What makes numbers worth anything is that no single person could have produced them alone. That is the part we have built first.

We are not accepting money

Donations are not being accepted. This party is not registered, and the contribution workflow has not completed legal review. Any page describing donations here is a design preview only.

That is why the figures above are zero. They are zero because nothing has been received, not because nothing has been disclosed. See the compliance gate.

How money moves through this party

Seven steps, and no person may perform two adjacent ones. This is enforced by the approvals service, which refuses the action rather than logging a policy breach after the fact.

Separation of duties

Which role can do which thing with money. Read across a row: no role holds more than one of the first four duties.

The Finance role cannot approve or execute

It records and reconciles. Approval sits with National Leadership, and execution is a separate grant again. One person cannot move money.

National Leadership cannot read donor records

Holding national office does not give anyone a list of who donated. That permission belongs to Finance and to the Auditor, and every access is logged.

What requires more than one person

  • expenditure2 approvers

Two approvers holding finance.approve, neither of whom requested the spend or will execute it.

  • content publication2 approvers

High-risk political content needs both an editorial approver and a legal reviewer.

  • leadership removal3 approvers

Removing a leader takes three approvers. Removal must be harder than appointment.

  • candidate selection3 approvers

Candidate selection requires party and legal sign-off together.

  • constitution amendment3 approvers

Amending the Constitution requires the widest approval and a legal review.

  • sensitive data access2 approvers

Bulk access to private citizen data needs a stated purpose and two approvers.

  • score adjustment2 approvers

A manual change to a volunteer score cannot be made by one person alone.

  • geography activation2 approvers

Marking a boundary dataset ACTIVE affects every mapping, so it needs two verifiers.

  • emergency access1 approvers

Break-glass access. One approver, four hours, written justification, always reviewed afterwards.

The requester can never approve their own request

This is checked in code before any approval is recorded, alongside one-decision-per-person. Emergency access exists, because refusing it entirely just means someone shares a password, but it is time-boxed to four hours, requires a written justification, and lands in the audit chain like everything else.

Published reports

No financial reports have been published, because no money has been received. When that changes, reports appear here, and the commitment is to publish faster than the law requires, not slower.

Public transparency is not statutory accounting

Everything on this page is voluntary disclosure. It does not replace statutory accounts, audits or returns, which are a separate obligation with their own formats and deadlines. We say this because conflating the two is a common way to look more accountable than you are.
